WHO IS TASHVOCK?
a proud independent designer + art director

I am Tasha Vockrodt but people call me Tash (add that next part in there and you get tashvock).
I love print! And branding! And almost anything creative!

I earned my stripes at Kansas City based agency (formerly Muller + Company, now MBB).
I spent 5 years learning about the industry, best practices, workflows, how to work under pressure,
how to work with people, how to enter time and endless knowledge I use everyday.
My clients included a private high school, a casket company, a large network health care system,
a nationwide shoe company, several banks, luxury car dealerships and the list goes on.
Then I dove deep into one brand working 5 years in-house at Buckle producing fashion retail creative.

It was fun and I loved the work but…

I WAS WORKING TOO HARD FOR SOMEONE ELSE’S BOTTOM LINE.
“I CAN DO THIS!” I THOUGHT AND I HAVE EVER SINCE.

My background set me up well to run my own business. I’ve learned a lot about how things
are done (or not done). Inefficiencies drive me crazy so I’ll make sure we’re all buttoned up before
we get too far into any project with a clearly defined direction and set of deliverables.
Wasted time and hours are my archenemy (and if it’s coming out of your pocketbook, they are yours, too).

I LIKE MY WORK TO BE GOOD! AND THAT TAKES TIME.
TIME EQUALS MONEY SO HERE’S HOW IT WORKS...

I’ll estimate your projcet based on a flat rate then I’ll give you a range based on 20+/- percent.
This way you can control costs to a certain degree. If we work efficiently, no hiccups - you’ll pay the low end.
We don’t and you’ll pay more. I keep track of hours and if we are approaching the high end of the estimate
I’ll flag it and we can wrap it up or you can choose to pay overages. 30 percent deposit due with signed contract
before any work can begin and the balance is due upon delivery of final files.

I’ve had my soul crushed three times in the last decade.
First, when Johnny Cash died. Second, when Oklahoma lost to K-Sate at Arrowhead.
And finally, when Tasha Vockrodt left MBB.

Some projects are just too big for one person to handle or require abilities outside my skill set.
That’s when I call in the troops. I keep the role as designer + art director but I’ll also be the team lead.
We’ll pull in tried and true independent professionals who know their shit.
Each creative is talented, senior level with at least 10 (if not 15 or 20) years experience in the industry!
All work still funnels through me to keep the message, direction and timeline on track.
I have a network of other professionals we can pull in but we’ll pick based the on the project,
budget and the individual strengths of each creative.

Tasha is the real deal. After working with Tasha many years ago
and seeing what she’s capable of, I regularly recommend her to clients who
need any sort of design/branding/creative work.
